As a Canadian mom, when my first child was born 6 years ago, I couldn't resist splurging on adorable clothing. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that while many options looked great, the materials often fell short in quality—especially for children with sensitive skin, like both of mine.
Being half Peruvian, I grew up familiar with the exceptional softness and durability of Pima cotton. When I received some wonderful baby clothing made from this luxurious fabric, I couldn't help but wonder why more kids' brands weren’t using it. Pima cotton is recognized as the highest quality cotton in the world, with less than 10% of all cotton achieving "Pima" grade.
That's when Gentle & Joyful was born. Named after my two children, Jacob and Gianna, our brand is one of the first—if not the very first—Canadian-based kids' apparel companies to use 100% Organic and Sustainable Peruvian Pima Cotton in all our clothing.
I hope your little ones love wearing our pieces as much as we love making them❤️
