As a Canadian-based mom when my first child was born four years ago, I couldn't resist the urge to splurge on some great cute clothing. All too soon I realized that while some of the clothing in the current market may look quite nice, the materials and textures fall short in terms of quality. This can be a problem particularly if  your child has sensitive skin as both of mine have.

Being half Peruvian, I was exposed to Pima cotton often and I had some wonderful baby clothing gifted to me, and I wondered why no kids brands were using this wonderful fabric. Pima cotton is recognized as the highest quality of cotton  in the world and currently, less than 10% of all cotton can be regarded as "Pima" grade.

And so Gentle & Joyful was born. Named for my two children ( Jacob & Gianna). I'm proud to say we are one of the first if not THE FIRST  Canadian based kids apparel companies to use
